Our service is divided into two phases.
Phase 1: Includes evaluation of the sampled material, research into it's current master/publishing owners, initial request letter, tape copying and obtaining first quote.
Phase 2: Includes negotiation of further quotes and terms, confirmation letter agreeing and drawing up contracts through final stages to countersignature.
General
To help us complete our service efficiently we require a completed Sample Clearance request form and 3 MP3s :
(1) the isolated sample
(2) the original track and
(3) the new track. Max size of MP3s 5mb each please. Some record label’s firewalls will block files larger than this.
We generally recommend that you allow three months prior to release for any sample clearance. We may be able to obtain quotes faster but to ensure you are in a strong negotiating position, three months is a realistic time scale. During this period we will keep you updated with bi-weekly status reports and of course all correspondence received is emailed to you immediately for approval.
Once the sample is cleared and agreements signed Sample Clearance Services request that you credit them on the label copy and furnish them with one copy of each format for our files.

We are unique in that we offer a service on a flat fee paying basis
Our standard fees for sample clearance are £375 per sample clearance, please bear in mind that one sample may consist of two clearances ie. one master and one publishing clearance. Payment is made half on commencement and half on completion/execution of contracts.
